A very powerful group of self-care techniques that empower you to reduce and eliminate accumulated stress has been found through the Emotional Freedom Technique, also known as EFT.
In using this approach I have found that the Emotional Freedom Technique helps an individual re-balance their energy system and nervous system, allowing them to cope more easily with day to day stress.
Emotional Freedom Technique is best explained as an emotional version of acupuncture but without the use of needles. It is performed by stimulating specific points on the Body’s Energy System, while focusing on the various triggers, aspects, emotions, thoughts, habits, events and somatic sensations of the issues you are trying to resolve. Some examples of these issues include physical pain, anxiety, phobias, cravings, panic attacks, addiction etc.
Often times the Emotional Freedom Technique is referred to as Tapping, although tapping is just one of the many components involved in this wonderful group of bodywork techniques.
